While discussing about plague, the Holy Prophet said:
بَقِيَّةُ رِجْرٍ ، أَوْ عَذَابِ أُرْسِلَ عَلَى طَائِفَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِاَرْضِ وَلَسْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَهْبِطُوا عَلَيْهَا -
(i)
Translation:
It is the remaining part of the punishment that was sent to a group of Bani Israel and if it (plague) falls on a land while you are in a land (country or city) where you lived, don't leave. And if it spreads in a land where you don't live, don't go there. (Jami at-Tirmidhi: 1025)
(ii)
فَيَرْضَى لَكُمْ أَنْ تَعْبُدُوهُ، وَلَا تُشْرِ كُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا، وَأَنْ تَعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللهِ جَمِيعًا وَّلَا تَفَرَّقُوا
وَيَكْرَهُ لَكُمْ: قِيْلَ وَقَالَ، وَكَثُرَةَ السُّؤَالِ، وَإِضَاعَةِ الْمَالِ
Translation:
Allah is pleased with you that you worship Him and do not associate any partner with Him, that you hold fast the rope of Allah, and be not scattered; and He disapproves for you irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and the wasting of wealth. (Sahih Muslim: 1715)
(iii)
مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَغْرِسُ غَرْسًا أَوْيَزْرَعُ زَرْعًا فَيَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ طَيْرُ أَوْ إِنْسَانُ أَوْ بَهِيمَةُ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ بِهِ صَدَقَةٌ
Translation:
Any Muslim who plants a tree or sows seeds in a field, then a bird or a human being or an animal that feeds from it, is a charity on his behalf. (Sahih al-Bukhari: 2320)
(iv)
مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ
ر فَلَا يُؤْذِ جَارَهُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ
فَلْيُكْرِمُ ضَيْفَهُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْلِيَصْمُتْ
Translation:
Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor, and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should entertain his guest generously and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet. (i.e. abstain from all kinds of evil and dirty talk). (Sahih al-Bukhari: 6018)
(v)
الْمُسْلِمُ أخو المُسْلِمِ، لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ، وَلَا يَحْقِرُهُ
Translation:
A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him. (Sahih Muslim: 2564)
(vi)
اللهم إنّي أَحَرِّجُ عَلَى الضُّعِيفَيْنِ الْيَتِيمِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ
Translation:
"O Allah, bear witness that I have issued a warning regarding the rights of the two weak ones: Orphans and women." (Sunan Ibn Majah: 3678)
(vii)
مَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِهِ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا -
Translation:
The Prophet said: "Whatever I have commanded you do it, and whatever I have forbidden you, refrain from it." (Sunan Ibn Majah: 01)
(viii)
إيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ
Translation:
Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the gravest lie in talk. (Sahih Muslim: 2563)
(ix )
لعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الرَّاشِي وَالْمُرْتَشِي
Translation:
"The curse of Allah is upon the one who offers a bribe and the one who takes it." (Sunan Ibn Majah: 2313)
(X )
إنَّ اللهَ يَرْفَعُ بِهَذَا الْكِتَابِ أَقْوَامًا وَيَضَعُ بِهِ أَخَرِينَ
Translation:
Verily, Through this book (the Holy Quran), Allah exalts many people and degrades others.
